Women's World Cup: USA vs Brazil Sunday

The Women's World Cup took a dramatic turn today, with host team and favorite, Germany, being ousted by Japan 1-0.  Germany hadn't lost a World Cup game since 1999, winning the last two World Cup tournaments in 2003 and 2007.

That opens the door for the other two favorites in the tournament: Brazil and the United States.

Unfortunately, one of them won't make it to the Finals because they are playing against each other in a quarterfinal match to be played tomorrow (Sunday).

Brazil brings the greatest player in women's soccer right now, Marta.  She has two goals and two assists in three games at this World Cup, and attempting to control her will be a major focus of the American team.

America has never finished lower than 3rd place before in the World Cup, and they will need to bring their very best game to defeat this Brazil squad. That includes goalkeeper, Hope Solo (below), considered the best goalie in the world.
