The United States Davis Cup team suffered a setback today when top American Mardy Fish was defeated by the #2 Spaniard, Felicano Lopez, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3, 6-7, 8-6.
American #2 Andy Roddick is playing Spaniard #1, David Ferrer right now. They are halfway through the first set. America badly needs for Roddick to pull this one out in order to pull even with Spain.
In other Davis Cup news, Roger Federer won his match for Switzerland today against Rui Machada.
Argentina advanced today over Kazakhstan and Serbia was ahead of Finland 2-0 despite Novak Djokovic pulling out of his team's Davis Cup action.
