Women's Professional Soccer League: See Our World Cup Stars In Action This Summer

If you are ready to continue watching excellent women's soccer action, the Women's Professional League is still in action for the next few months.  Most of the returning World Cup players will be rejoining their teams in the next week to finish out the season.

Check out the schedule here.

  • MagicJack is playing at Western New York (Sahlen Stadium in Rochester, NY)  on Wednesday Night.  This game just sold out today, actually. ***Fox Soccer Channel is now going to be broadcasting the game live at 7:30 p.m. EST.
  • This Saturday, Sky Blue is playing at Philadelphia, and MagicJack is playing Atlanta at the Beat's home field in Kennesaw, Georgia on the Kennesaw State University campus (a major shout-out because I actually graduated from there).

Here's a list of the World Cup Team members and where they play in the WPS:

  • Abby Wambach - MagicJack (home field is in Boca Raton, FL)
  • Hope Solo - MagicJack (not 100% certain; local papers claim her, but she's not listed on their online roster right now)
  • Shannon Boxx - MagicJack
  • Christie Rampone - MagicJack
  • Megan Rapinoe - MagicJack
  • Becky Sauerbrunn - Magic Jack
  • Alex Morgan - Western New York Flash (Marta from Brazil plays here too)
  • Carli Lloyd - Atlanta Beat
  • Lauren Cheney - Boston Breakers
  • Rachel Buehler - Boston Breakers
  • Amy LePeilbet - Boston Breakers
  • Amy Rodriguez - Philadelphia Independence
  • Heather O'Reilly - Sky Blue FC (plays at Rutgers in New Jersey)
  • Tobin Heath - Sky Blue FC
