Small Towns Lose NFL Training Camps, Little Known Victims of NFL Lockout

The uncertainty of the NFL lockout status has extended to some towns that had expected certain NFL teams to hold their annual training camps there.

The NY Giants have moved their camp from the University of Albany to their practice facilities in East Rutherford, New Jersey.  The Baltimore Ravens are holding their training camp in their own practice facilities in Owing Mills, Maryland rather than at the McDaniels College campus.  The New York Jets are also practicing at home rather than hold their training camp in the tiny town of Cortland, New  York.

Sports Illustrated takes a look at the economic hit that these small towns will take now that the biggest tourist event of their year has been taken away.
