Klinsmann Releases US Roster For Mexico Match; Four Primera Division Starters on US Roster

Head Coach Juergen Klinsmann today released the roster for the friendly match against USA and Mexico next week on August 10.  The roster includes a mix of veterans and younger players that reflect some of the new direction in the national team that Klinsmann discussed at his introductory press conference.
"There's so much influence from the Latin environment that has to be reflected in the national team," Klinsmann said.
There are four members of the roster who are currently competing in the Primera Division in Mexico that reflect this growing Latin environment influence.  Two of the four players I profiled in my article "Four Young American Soccer Players You Need To Know" are also on the roster.

Goalkeepers

Tim Howard is once again the main goalkeeper, but will be backed up this time by 20-year-old newcomer Bill Hamid from D.C. United of the MLS.  This will be Hamid's first senior team camp.
