2011 NFL Hall of Fame Game Cancelled

The NFL has cancelled the Hall of Fame Exhibition Game originally scheduled for August 7 due to the delay in getting the new collective bargaining agreement signed.  No word yet on whether the pre-season game itself is lost (and the Bears/Rams play only three pre-season games this year) or whether it can be rescheduled at a later place/day.

Up until today, the NFL had been adamant that the Chicago Bears and St. Louis Rams would still play each other on the Sunday night of the Hall of Fame Festivities.  Now that the game has been cancelled, those attending the weekend festivities in Canton, Ohio will have more free time on their hands on Sunday to examine the busts of the new Hall of Fame members.

The Class of 2011 Enshrinement Ceremony will take place on Saturday, August 6, at 7 p.m EST.
