Post-Game Comments By Women's Coach Pia Sundhage

Pia Sundhage, coach of the American Women's World Cup Soccer team, was interviewed on-field by ESPN just after the game.  Here are some of her comments:

When asked what she felt watching the game:
"Phenomenal....someone is writing this book. And it's something about the American attitude and find a way to win. Unbelievable."
When asked what this win says about her team after they were down so late:
"Just look at the face. And it's contagious. I come from Sweden. I got an opportunity to coach this wonderful team, and it is contagious...this great attitude and they bring out the best performance in each other."
Sundhage was criticized going into the World Cup for some of the poor play by the Americans in qualifying action earlier in the year.  No one is criticizing her now.

Congratulations to Coach Pia Sundhage and the Women's World Cup team.  They will now face France in the Semi-Finals on Wednesday.
