Davis Cup: Bryan Brothers Save America (For Now)

When watching today's Davis Cup action between the United States and Spain, I realized that America actually does have some of the best players in the world.

They just play doubles.

The Bryan brothers (Bob and Mike) are the #1-ranked doubles team in the world.  They showed it today in front of a raucous partisan crowd in Austin, Texas, defeating the Spanish doubles team of Marcel Granollers and Fernando Verdasco 6-7, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4.

The win today has given America some hope going into tomorrow's final rubber matches.  The United States needs to win both in order to advance to the Davis Cup Semi-Finals.

Sunday Schedule (starting at 3 p.m. EST on the Tennis Channel):

Mardy Fish vs David Ferrer
Andy Roddick vs Feliciano Lopez
