Hope Solo's Star Continues To Rise: Signs Deal With Gatorade

Even though she has yet to play a game following the World Cup, US Women's National Team Goalie Hope Solo is continuing to stay in the public eye.

Turning 30 this week, Solo has been in the news recently for her recent non-soccer activities. On Sunday, she drove the pacecar for Nascar's Brickyard 400.

Then news yesterday broke that Solo had signed a multi-year endorsement deal with Gatorade.  This is the second endorsement deal that she has signed in recent weeks; she, along with fellow teammates Abby Wambach and Alex Morgan, also signed a one-year deal with Bank of America.

Solo is expected to sign more deals in the near future with other companies, as the wave of her popularity continues to rise.  If women's soccer is to continue to grow, she (and the rest of the team) need to take advantage of all the publicity they can get.
